One way to know what’s important about an operating system, especially one used in business, is to look at the certification exams available for it. This class will introduce Unix and Linux from the angle of preparing you for the <\/span>CompTIA Linux+ certification<\/a>.\u00a0 CompTIA says: “CompTIA Linux+ Powered by LPI is a high-stakes, vendor-neutral certification that validates the fundamental knowledge and skills required of junior Linux administrators.”<\/p>\n

Interestingly, if you want Linux certifications, getting CompTIA Linux+ also immediately qualifies you for the <\/span>Linux Professional Institute’s LPIC-1 certification<\/a>, as well as <\/span>Novell’s Certified Linux Administrator (CLA)<\/a>. Take 2 tests, get 3 certifications! <\/strong><\/p>\n
