The Dec 2012 SLO VMUG was a big success!
We got started about 10, Scott Smith, local VMUG leader started off with a brief overview of recent VMUG activities.
The morning presenter was Jeff Renard, our local VMware engineer, who went over VMware High Availability and Virtual Storage Appliance. Not only did he go over these core technologies in depth, but he did live demonstrations with a live lab environment. The VMware Hands On Labs will soon be open at Project Nee (yes, like the Knights that Say Nee).
Then Veeam bought us lunch from Urbane Cafe (yummy!).
After lunch, Brad Tucci from Veeam, went over the features of Veeam Backup and Replication and then did some live demonstrations, including the very cool Veeam Explorer for Exchange.
SLO VMUG meetings are free to the public, are usually held quarterly and usually include lunch. We hope to see you at the next one, Spring 2013!
